Building Materials & Testing (Lab Practical)

Hands-on laboratory training in the testing and quality control of concrete, soil, aggregates, and steel in accordance with standard BS/ASTM test methods for construction quality assurance.

What you will learn

• Prepare, cure, and crush concrete cubes to determine compressive strength and assess mix compliance
• Perform soil classification, Atterberg limits, standard Proctor compaction, and CBR tests correctly
• Carry out sieve analysis, aggregate crushing value, and specific gravity tests on coarse and fine aggregates
• Prepare a materials testing report with results, statistical analysis, and compliance assessment
