Three-phase power systems, industrial distribution board design, motor wiring, and installation and testing of motor control gear including DOL, star-delta, and reversing starters.

What you will learn

• Explain three-phase power system principles including phase relationships, line/phase quantities, and power factor
• Design and install industrial distribution boards with MCCBs, contactors, and overload relays
• Wire DOL, star-delta, and reversing motor starter circuits from industrial control schematics
• Apply cable sizing, busbar rating, and power factor correction principles to an industrial installation

Who it's for

FET electrical engineering students. Single-phase wiring knowledge (CAT2-01 or equivalent) is required.
