What you will learn

• Identify single-mode and multi-mode fiber types and their applications
• Safely strip, cleave, and fusion-splice fiber optic cable
• Test fiber links using an OTDR and optical power meter and interpret results
• Terminate fiber connectors and troubleshoot common signal-loss issues

FET students with basic electrical/telecom background; safety induction mandatory given laser and glass-handling hazards.
