Gas Installation (LPG & Natural Gas)

Safe installation, testing, and commissioning of LPG and natural gas supply systems for domestic and light-commercial applications in accordance with gas safety regulations.

What you will learn

• Identify LPG and natural gas system components and explain gas properties, pressure regulation, and hazards
• Size and install domestic and commercial gas supply pipework, regulators, and gas meters
• Commission a gas installation using pressure testing and gas tightness testing procedures
• Apply gas safety regulations, emergency shut-down procedures, and correct appliance connection methods

Who it's for

Open to all FET students. Basic plumbing or pipefitting knowledge is helpful.
