Traction and hydraulic elevator systems, escalator principles, mechanical and electrical component installation, safety device testing, and routine preventive maintenance procedures.

What you will learn

• Describe traction and hydraulic elevator system components, operating circuits, and safety device functions
• Install and wire elevator motor, controller panel, landing call buttons, and door operator systems
• Test and adjust elevator safety devices including overspeed governor, safety gears, and buffer systems
• Apply a structured elevator preventive maintenance schedule and carry out routine service inspections

Who it's for

FET electrical or mechanical engineering students. Three-phase electrical installation knowledge is required.
