Maintenance and fault diagnosis of centrifugal, reciprocating, and screw pumps and compressors including shaft alignment, mechanical seal replacement, and predictive maintenance techniques.

What you will learn

• Identify centrifugal, reciprocating, and screw pump and compressor types and describe their key components
• Carry out precision shaft alignment using dial gauges and laser alignment equipment
• Replace mechanical seals and gland packing in a centrifugal pump following correct disassembly procedures
• Apply predictive maintenance techniques including vibration analysis, oil sampling, and infrared thermography

Who it's for

FET mechanical engineering students. Basic mechanical maintenance experience is helpful.
