Practical ceramic, porcelain, and rectified tile installation for floors, walls, and wet rooms — covering surface preparation, layout planning, adhesive selection, cutting, grouting, and sealing.

What you will learn

• Plan tile layout, calculate quantities, and set out reference lines for a floor or wall tiling project
• Prepare substrates including screed, concrete, and plasterboard correctly for different tile types
• Cut, fix, and grout floor and wall tiles using correct adhesive systems and grout products
• Apply waterproofing in wet rooms before tiling and seal completed tile installations correctly

Who it's for

Open to all FET students. No prior tiling experience is required.
