Roofing Systems — Metal, Tiles & Waterproofing

Residential and commercial roofing installation covering metal profile sheet, clay/concrete tile systems, ridge and valley details, gutter installation, and waterproof membrane application.

What you will learn

• Identify roofing materials, minimum pitch requirements, and structural support needs for each roofing system
• Install metal profile sheet roofing including batten layout, fixing pattern, ridge, hip, and valley details
• Install clay or concrete roof tiles including battening, underlay, flashing, and verge and valley details
• Apply torch-on and self-adhesive waterproof membranes for flat roof and low-pitch waterproofing

Who it's for

Open to all FET students. Working-at-heights safety induction is mandatory. Physical fitness is required.
