Aluminium & Glass Works — Doors, Windows & Curtain Walls

Aluminium window and door profile fabrication, glass cutting and handling, curtain wall and shopfront system installation, and structural glazing sealant application.

What you will learn

• Read aluminium fabrication drawings and accurately cut, mitre, and assemble aluminium profiles
• Glaze aluminium frames with correct glass type, setting blocks, rubber gasket, or silicone sealing
• Install a curtain wall or shopfront system including anchor brackets, mullions, transoms, and infill panels
• Apply sealant correctly to achieve durable weathertight joints in accordance with manufacturer specifications

Who it's for

Open to all FET students. Basic metalwork skills are helpful.
