Painting & Decorative Finishing (Interior & Exterior)

Surface preparation, primer application, interior and exterior paint systems, decorative texture finishes, and airless spray painting for residential and commercial buildings.

What you will learn

• Prepare interior and exterior surfaces correctly including filling cracks, sanding, and applying primer coat
• Apply emulsion, gloss, and satin paint to walls, ceilings, and woodwork to a smooth and uniform finish
• Apply decorative texture coats and special effect finishes including sponge, rag-roll, and stipple techniques
• Operate an airless spray system safely and set up for exterior and commercial painting applications

Who it's for

Open to all FET students. No prior painting experience is required.
