Interior Design & Space Planning

Interior design principles, space planning methodology, materials and finishes selection, mood board production, and client presentation skills for residential and commercial interior projects.

What you will learn

• Apply design principles (balance, proportion, rhythm, contrast, harmony) to interior space planning exercises
• Produce a scaled floor plan with furniture layout, zoning, and traffic flow analysis using CAD or hand methods
• Create a materials and finishes board selecting flooring, wall, ceiling, and soft furnishing combinations
• Present a complete interior design concept to a client brief with drawings, mood boards, and cost summary

Who it's for

Open to all FET students with creative interest. Basic AutoCAD or SketchUp knowledge is helpful but not required.
