What you will learn
- Calculate illuminance requirements for a road section and size a solar street lighting system accordingly
- Select LED luminaire wattage, battery capacity, solar module size, and charge controller for the system
- Install solar street light poles, modules, batteries, and controllers safely on site
- Program photocell and timer control for automatic dusk-to-dawn operation and battery protection
