Municipal and industrial solid waste characterisation, collection system design, composting, recycling value chains, landfill basics, and waste-to-energy concepts for Cameroonian urban and rural contexts.

What you will learn

• Characterise solid waste streams and estimate waste generation rates for urban and rural communities
• Design a basic waste collection system including vehicle routing, transfer station siting, and waste segregation
• Describe composting process requirements and design a small-scale windrow composting facility
• Evaluate recycling material value chains and identify feasible waste entrepreneurship opportunities
